Founders Narmin Al-Hamawandi and Stefan Scholze wanted the opposite: a way to build wealth that fits into life exactly as it already is. So they built Driptip. It's an app where you give yourself a small tip on every purchase – and Driptip does the rest, saving and investing it automatically for you, so you don't have to change a single habit.
Founded 2026 in Munich, Driptip is our attempt to make saving and investing feel less like discipline and more like something that simply happens.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website driptip.app. It applies to all features available during the pre-launch period, in particular the waitlist signup.

2. What We Collect
2.1 Waitlist signup. When you join our waitlist, we collect your name, your email address, and your chosen language. No other data is collected through the form.
2.2 Server logs. When you visit our website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data (including IP address, date and time of access, browser type) to deliver the website and ensure its security and stability (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
2.3 External content. Our website loads fonts and scripts from external providers (Google Fonts, Tailwind CDN, jsDelivr). When this content is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider, which may be based in the United States (see Section 6).
2.4 Cookies and tracking. We currently do not use analytics or marketing cookies. Should we introduce analytics or advertising technologies (e.g., web analytics, social media pixels) in the future, this will only happen with your prior consent via a cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with \u00a7 25(1) TDDDG). You can give, refuse, or withdraw consent at any time; using the website and joining the waitlist does not depend on it.
2.5 Data we do not collect. During the pre-launch period we do not collect your date of birth, physical address, payment details, or government-issued identification.
3. How Your Signup Is Stored
Your details are saved when you submit the form, to complete the signup process you initiated and to prevent fraudulent or duplicate signups. If you do not confirm your email address within 30 days (double opt-in), your data will be automatically deleted.
4. Purposes and Legal Basis
Managing your waitlist position and sending service-related messages \u2013 Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures)
Temporarily storing your data before email confirmation \u2013 Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (completing signup, preventing abuse)
Sending product updates and launch announcements \u2013 Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via double opt-in)
Operating, securing, and stabilising the website (server logs) \u2013 Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
We will not send you unrelated marketing or promotional content from third parties.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or rent your data. We only share it with carefully selected service providers that support our operations (in particular cloud hosting and database infrastructure, and transactional email delivery). We conclude data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with these providers. Beyond that, we only disclose data where required by law or where necessary to prevent or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
6. International Data Transfers
Your data is primarily stored and processed within the EU. Individual providers (e.g., the content delivery networks mentioned in 2.3) may be based in the United States. Transfers to third countries only take place subject to appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular adequacy decisions (such as the EU\u2013U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Data Retention
Unconfirmed signups: automatically deleted after 30 days
Confirmed waitlist members: retained for the duration of the pre-launch period and up to 6 months after Driptip launches publicly, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first
Server logs: [insert hosting provider's retention period, e.g., 14 days]
After deletion: removed from active systems and backups within 30 days
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. For all other requests, email us at info@driptip.app \u2013 we will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our competent authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de. You may also contact the supervisory authority in your EU/EEA member state of residence.
9. Provision of Data
Providing your data is voluntary and not a statutory requirement. However, without your name and email address you cannot join the waitlist.
10. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
11. Data Security
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures, in particular encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and access controls restricting access within our team.
12. Children
Our services are intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes before they take effect. The date above always reflects the current version.
